Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay Jamandu Orsi on the occasion of his election.
The message says:
"I warmly congratulate you on your election as the President of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, wishing you great success in your high and responsible mission.
I am sure that during your term of office, friendly Uruguay will continue to move steadily along the path of economic development, protection of human rights and strengthening of democracy. I highly value the historically formed friendly relations between Armenia and Uruguay and I note with satisfaction that they have entered a new stage of development in recent years.
The large Armenian community of Uruguay also plays a significant role in deepening the cooperation between our countries. I would like to express my willingness to work together and enrich our bilateral agenda for the benefit of our friendly peoples and countries. I invite you to make an official visit to Armenia in due time".
