Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a joint press conference with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman. He noted the positive dynamics of the development of economic relations between Turkey and Oman and added that taking into account the existing potential, he aims to increase the volume of trade between Turkey and Oman to 5 billion dollars in the first phase.
Erdogan referred to the situation in the region and emphasized that until an immediate, just and lasting ceasefire is established in Gaza, it will be impossible to achieve regional and global peace.
Commenting on the latest statement of the US President, he said that US President Biden's statement about the new initiative to establish a ceasefire in Gaza was very late, but it was an important step. According to him, Turkey will not hesitate to do everything to establish stability and peace in Gaza.
Tariq emphasized that Oman supports Turkey's position on international issues affecting the region.
