Following negotiations between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana, Russia and Kazakhstan adopted a protocol on the resumption of the agreement on trade and economic cooperation in the field of supplies of oil and petroleum products to the republic, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

During the document signing ceremony, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliev and the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergei Tsivilev exchanged protocols on the resumption of the agreement. Putin, at the invitation of Tokayev, arrived in Astana on Wednesday for a two-day state visit. State leaders held negotiations in narrow and expanded formats.
