By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian, Levon Davidyan was appointed the commander of the Special Purpose Forces.
"Based on the recommendation of the Prime Minister in accordance with Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 35.1, Part 1 and Article 36, Part 1, Clause 1 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen; Levon Davidyan was appointed the commander of the Special Purpose Forces, relieving him from the post of Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
