Security measures will be tightened in Paris

Security is being tightened in Paris ahead of Thursday night's France-Israel soccer match at the Stade de France, French media reported.

The head of the Paris police said on France Info radio station that the match is related to "high risks in the context of the international situation." At the same time, he emphasized that all measures will be taken to "ensure safe conditions" for the event. According to French media, planned before the match to organize a pro-Palestinian demonstration, which will begin at 18:00 local time.

The start of the match at the Stade de France stadium is scheduled for 21:00 local time.

At the end of last week, the French authorities decided to involve 4,000 security officers to ensure order at the football match between France and Israel.

The authorities took such a step after Israeli fans were attacked after a Europa League football match in Amsterdam. The attackers had Palestinian flags.
