Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Swedish Minister of International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dusa in Stockholm on November 11.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of bilateral economic cooperation, promotion of trade in line with the political dialogue formed between the two countries.
An agreement was reached to contribute to the activation of business relations with joint efforts, including by encouraging investments. Reference was made to the democratic reforms in Armenia, the importance of cooperation and support with like-minded partners on this path.
In this context, Minister Mirzoyan noted that RA values close cooperation with Sweden, as well as other EU member states, in the development of democratic institutions in the country, strengthening of capacities.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Benjamin Dusa also exchanged thoughts on regional developments.
In this context, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia as a contributing factor to ensuring stability in the current conditions.
The head of the RA foreign political department also noted that Armenia has adopted an agenda for the regulation of relations with its neighbors and the establishment of stable peace in the South Caucasus, which in turn can create positive preconditions for regional economic development and the effective involvement of regional channels in the West-East logistics network.
