The accusation is so absurd that I find it difficult to comment on the accusation. We are waiting to see what logical conclusion this case will have (it is clear that it will be sent to court one day), and we will also have the opportunity to show the public what kind of absurdity we are dealing with in general,168․amIn an interview with Amram Makinyan, a member of the president's defense team, this is how he responded to the latest accusation attributed to the third president of the Republic of Armenia.
Today we reported that the third president of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, is in the Anti-Corruption Committee, and charges have been brought against him.
"Within the framework of the same criminal proceedings being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, charges were also brought against former RA President S.S. under Part 2 of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia adopted on April 18, 2003 (corresponding to Part 2, Point 5 of Article 441 of the current Criminal Code)," the committee reported.
Earlier, we learned from the Prosecutor's Office's report that the prosecutor has initiated public criminal prosecution against the second President of the Republic of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, and 9 other individuals, including Robert Kocharyan's son, Sedrak Kocharyan, the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Andranik Margaryan, the former Mayor of Yerevan, Gagik Beglaryan, Samvel Mayrapetyan, a participant in the "Local Developers" LLC, as well as A.O., who held the position of the director of the economy of Kond private houses and headed the "Aigedzor" LLC, which carries out construction activities, A.O.'s wife and two daughters.
“I was deeply convinced by this situation that an accusation was simply brought for the sake of bringing an accusation, and moreover, that again, let’s say, in the conditions when Mr. President’s exit from the Republic of Armenia is prohibited, he will be banned again.
This process took place today, by and large, nothing else. This theater of the absurd is getting more and more intense,” Amram Makinyan emphasized and added that the episode refers to the alienation deal of the Officer’s House, which was made by the government’s decision and for a rather large amount. “We are convinced that no reasonable person can see a problem there.”
By the way, the day before yesterday in the National Assembly, Pashinyan had instructed law enforcement officers to deprive Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan of their property,” the website writes.
