The officers of the Anti-Illegal Drug Trafficking Department of the Yerevan City Department of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information that a group of people are engaged in the sale of narcotics through the telegram channels they manage.
As a result of extensive operative and investigative measures, one of them was found, arrested and transferred to the department.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated in the Arabkir investigative department. 2 kg 610 grams of methamphetamine was found in the house of one of the owners of the Telegram channel as a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative actions.
Searches were also made in the apartments of a number of persons connected with the owners of Telegram channels. Methamphetamine, 8,188,000 drams, 4,500 dollars, hemp plants, etc. were discovered and confiscated.
As a result of further measures, 7 people were arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
