The attack of the armed forces of Ukraine on the Iranian commercial ship traveling from Astrakhan with civilian cargo is an act of aggression, said the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The attack carried out by the Kiev regime on an Iranian merchant ship carrying civilian cargo from Astrakhan is an act of aggression that violates the norms of international law. Such criminal actions testify to the obvious aspiration of the Kiev regime to expand the geography of terrorist activities," said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, answering the media's question about the attack on the Iranian ship.
According to Zakharova, another attack on civilian ships in the Caspian Sea proves that there is an obvious threat to the regional security of the Caspian countries.
He noted that the Caspian Sea should avoid any military incidents and remain a zone of peace, neighborliness and cooperation.
