Former US President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, wished Donald Trump success in the new elections.

"The American people have voted and Donald Trump and JD Vance will be the next president and vice president of the United States.

We wish them success and hope they will govern for all of us," the couple said in a statement posted on Bill Clinton's X social network page. The US presidential elections took place on November 5.

The Democratic Party was represented by the current Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Republican Party by former President Donald Trump.
