Russia has "never viewed with rose-tinted glasses" the mediation capabilities of the United States in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, but welcomes Washington's willingness to continue providing "good services" in this area.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with China Media Group (CMG) within the framework of SPIEF. "We have never worn rose-colored glasses and never exaggerated Washington's ability to solve any complex problem once and for all.
Ultimately, Washington pursues its national interests, and we respect that," the Kremlin spokesman said, stressing that Russia also has its own interests.
"At the same time, we welcome Washington's willingness to continue providing good services and help in the settlement of the situation around Ukraine," Peskov emphasized.
