The NATO summit to be held in Ankara in July may be the most important in the history of the alliance. Turkey is counting on the participation of US President Donald Trump, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.
"The NATO summit to be held in Turkey may be the most important in the history of NATO," said Fidan, referring to the situation of the alliance against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump's statements on the future of the North Atlantic Alliance.
"We believe that Trump will participate in the NATO summit in Ankara at the invitation of our president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. "Trump usually does not show a desire to participate in NATO summits," Fidan told Anadolu Agency.
