Florida's governor has renamed an airport in Trump's honor

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill to rename the airport in honor of US President Donald Trump, the state's House of Representatives announced. "Approved by the Governor," the bill was announced on the Florida House of Representatives website.

Lawmakers note that the regulation will come into force on July 1, 2026. The law plans to rename Palm Beach International Airport in Trump's honor.

The changes must also be approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.
