Several Gulf countries, led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, are calling on the United States to continue military operations against Iran, the Associated Press reported, citing unnamed US, Israeli and Gulf officials.
According to the agency, the representatives of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain have announced in secret conversations about their desire to continue the US-Israeli military operation until there is a radical change in the leadership of the Islamic Republic or a radical change in Iranian sentiments.
As the agency notes, the attitude towards the conflict is different in the countries of the Persian Gulf. Saudi Arabia and the UAE take the most aggressive stance, while Oman and Qatar favor a diplomatic settlement.
