Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the killing of Lebanese television reporters as a result of an Israeli drone attack in southern Lebanon and expressed his condolences to the families and colleagues of the victims.
"Strongly condemning this crime and emphasizing the need for effective action by the international community to support journalists and ensure the accountability of those responsible for such attacks, I express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and their colleagues," said the statement published on the official Telegram channel of the minister.
Al-Mayadi TV reporter Fatima Ftouni and Al-Manar TV reporter Ali Shaib were killed by an Israeli drone strike. Lebanon's president condemned the killings, calling Israel's actions targeted and calling on the international community to stop Israel's attacks on Lebanon.
