The authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have decided to temporarily partially close the country's airspace. This was announced by the local civil aviation department.

"As an exceptional precaution, a decision has been made to partially and temporarily close the UAE airspace," the ministry said, citing the WAM news agency.

The UAE Ministry of Defense said that its air defense systems are currently repelling missile and drone attacks launched from Iran.
