Azerbaijan did not join Turkey's initiative

"Anadolu" reports that on November 1, at the initiative of Turkey, a letter signed by fifty-two countries was sent to the UN Secretary General, proposing to discuss the issue of establishing an international embargo on the sale of arms and ammunition to Israel and to adopt a corresponding decision. The letter expresses deep concern about the occupation of Palestine. in connection with the escalation of violence and violation of international law in the territories, Gaza and Lebanon, which may spread to other regions of the Middle East.

In this regard, in an interview with Hurriyet, Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan disclosed the official Ankara's conclusion regarding Israel's military operations. "Israel intends to deport the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip to Egypt, and the residents of the West Bank to Jordan," said the head of Turkish diplomacy. The probability of any outcome in the Security Council is zero. The first supplier of arms and ammunition to Israel is the United States, which will undoubtedly use the right of veto and block the adoption of any resolution.

By the way, the letter was signed by Russia and China, permanent members of the UN Security Council. France and Great Britain did not join. Among the European countries, only Norway has joined Turkey's initiative. The letter was signed by Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan from the post-Soviet countries, but not Uzbekistan. The League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation supported Turkey's initiative. The most remarkable thing is that the letter was not signed by Azerbaijan, as well as by the Organization of Turkic States.
