Trump announced that he should participate in the election of the new leader of Iran. Axios:

US President Donald Trump has announced that he should participate in the process of electing the new leader of Iran, noting that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the slain supreme leader Ali Khamenei, is not an acceptable candidate for him. The US president said this in an interview with the American magazine Axios, commenting on the issue of a possible change of power in Iran.

"They are wasting time. Khamenei's son is not a weighty figure," Trump said, referring to reports that Mojtaba Khamenei is considered the main potential successor to the slain supreme leader of Iran.

Trump also stated that he wants to be involved in the process of choosing a new leader.

"I have to participate in the appointment, as it happened in the case of Delsey in Venezuela. Khamenei's son is unacceptable to me. We want someone who will bring peace and harmony to Iran," he said.

We are talking about Delsey Rodríguez, who is currently considered the interim president of Venezuela. He held that position in January, when the Americans arrested the country's president, Nicolás Maduro, in whose administration Rodriguez held the position of vice president.
