The UN General Assembly adopted the resolution "Support to long-lasting peace in Ukraine".
The resolution calls for an immediate ceasefire and reaffirms the need to respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"We thank all 107 member states for supporting this clear message. We will act decisively and consistently to achieve a comprehensive, just and long-lasting peace," commented the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiha regarding the vote.
"We really had a historic vote for the resolution of the UN General Assembly "Support for a lasting peace in Ukraine" that we presented," answered the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Andriy Melnyk.
107 countries voted in favor of the resolution, 12 against, and 51 abstained, including Armenia. Russia, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cuba, North Korea, Eritrea, Iran, Mali, Nicaragua, Niger and Sudan voted against.
