According to the website Poweroutage, the number of homes without power due to the blizzard on the US East Coast exceeded 100,000. As of 6:45 a.m. Moscow time, the total number of power outages was at least 101,893, including in Delaware (29,162), New Jersey (28,574), Virginia (24,783) and in Maryland (19,374).
Earlier, The Hill reported that more than 60 million residents of the United States are in a state of emergency due to heavy snow.
According to meteorologists, 30 to 60 centimeters of snow may fall in the affected states by Monday night.
