British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Shanghai from Beijing as part of his visit on January 28-31. According to the report of the Shanghai newspaper Jeffan Zhibao, a special British Airways plane landed at Hongqiao International Airport.
Starmer is expected to meet with Shanghai CPC Municipal Committee Secretary Chen Jining and representatives of business circles.
Starmer became the first British Prime Minister to visit China in the last 8 years. On January 29, he held talks with the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and the Premier of the State Council, Li Qiang. During his visit, Great Britain and China signed 10 agreements, most of which are related to trade.
