Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced that the decision to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is facing several court cases, will be made strictly in accordance with the law and procedures established by the legal system, as well as goodwill.
The duke also noted that it is necessary to resolve the legal process against the prime minister "peacefully", because this entire legal process has a negative impact on society.
"According to our laws and regulations, any such request must go through a certain procedure. And now the request must go through the process of gathering different opinions from the relevant departments of the Ministry of Justice. I cannot break this because of course I have to act according to the rules in the end, I will act and make decisions on my own according to the rules, the law and my conscience. And for now, that's all I can say," Herzog said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
