French President Emmanuel Macron wants to send at least 200 more French soldiers to Greenland, Canard Enchaîné newspaper reports, citing sources.

France has already sent about 15 soldiers to Greenland. As Reuters reported, the country also asked to organize NATO military exercises on the island.

"Emmanuel Macron plans to protect the people of Greenland by sending a squad of at least 200 alpine riflemen," the article states.
