The world is now experiencing a transition from one state to another, where the only law is the law of the strongest. This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron, whose speech was broadcast on the Elysee Palace page on the X social media platform.

The head of state spoke about the global geopolitical situation during the World Economic Forum, which takes place in Davos, Switzerland from January 19 to 23.

"Look at the situation we are in. It is <...> a transition to a world devoid of rules, where international law is violated and where the only law that seems to matter is the law of the strongest," said the head of France.

He noted that the level of violence in the world is increasing. According to Macron, more than 60 armed conflicts were registered in 2024. The French president called this number an "absolute record".

As the head of state noted, conflicts are increasingly affecting a wide range of sectors, including the digital sphere, trade and space.
