Equatorial Guinea sent a letter to Putin expressing its willingness to host the Russia-Africa summit

The leadership of Equatorial Guinea has sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin expressing its readiness to host the Russia-Africa summit, Ambassador of the republic in Moscow Luciano Nkogo Ndong Ayekaba told TASS.

"We have everything we need. We hold three or four such events a year. We have already hosted the Turkey-Africa Summit, the Arab World-Africa Summit and the Latin American States-Africa Summit. We have everything we need, the entire infrastructure," he said. "And we have already sent a special letter to the head of state of the Russian Federation," the diplomat emphasized.

The ambassador explained that the country "has two conference centers, 54 private houses with an area of 1000 square meters and many hotels". "We also have a separate so-called convention city on the beach, on the Atlantic coast," he added.

The diplomat also recalled that at the second Russia-Africa summit held in St. Petersburg, Equatorial Guinea's Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue announced his desire to host the next Russia-Africa summit.
