The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan, as part of her working visit to the Republic of Italy, met the Prosecutor General of the Court of Cassation of Italy Piero Gaeta on November 6, 2025.
Let's remind that within the framework of the visit, it is planned to sign a memorandum of understanding on the expansion of cooperation between the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia and the General Military Prosecutor's Office attached to the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Republic of Italy.
Anna Vardapetyan thanked the Italian counterpart for the warm welcome and emphasized that the meeting is a valuable opportunity to highlight the joint work done so far and expand the scope of international legal cooperation in criminal proceedings.
"Thank you for the documents provided and the administrative actions performed within the framework of legal assistance at our request. They were crucial in bringing a number of criminal cases to court with an indictment. I assure you that the requests for legal assistance from the Italian side are fulfilled with the same diligence and responsibility," said the RA Prosecutor General.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Italy Vladimir Karapetyan, Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Grigor Elizbaryan and Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Yeghiazar Avagyan also participated in the meeting.
