Magdalena Grono, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, presented the consultations held in Baku on her website.
"I held high-level consultations in Baku on November 4-5, including with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, presidential assistant Hikmet Hajiyev, presidential envoy Elchin Amirbekov, as well as other officials and local experts. The agenda of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan was discussed, including issues of interdependence, with an emphasis on Nakhichevan, regional cooperation and humanitarian issues.
The EU is deeply committed to working with both Azerbaijan and Armenia to maintain the post-Washington momentum and ensure that the benefits of peace are spread and felt throughout the region," Grono wrote.
