"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
"Yesterday, the Mother See disbanded the betrayer Fr. Priest Aram Asatryan. The basis for this was the report of the leader of Aragatsotn Diocese and the conclusion of the Awarding and Disciplinary Affairs Committee of the Mother See of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church of St. Etchmiadzin, that Fr. Priest Aram Asatryan discredited the Armenian Church, the diocesan priest and fellow churchmen with public speeches and statements.
During the last month, he deliberately did not mention the names of the Catholicos of All Armenians and the diocesan leader at liturgies, bypassing that and thereby, in fact, putting himself out of the Church. T. Aram was the pastor of the Hovhannavank church in the Ohanavan community. We were told that in the last days, maybe knowing about the intentions of the Church, the fanatics of the government visited the church and tried to provoke the appointed Father Manuk to replace Father Aram. One of the women even uttered curses, saying that if their priest is dismissed, he will take him to crown his grandchildren in his house.
But after cursing the substitute priest, that woman fell on the way home, broke her leg and underwent an operation.
