Peace in Gaza, shame in Sharm El Sheikh. how the prime minister was looking for a "frame", not a compromise. "Fact"

"Fact" daily writes:

A peace agreement on Gaza was signed a few days ago. Pashinyan, a great lover of participating in other people's celebrations, entered the event, of course, at the expense of the state budget of Armenia. Actually, theoretically this visit could be useful for Armenia. The Prime Minister had the opportunity to see what a real peace summit looks like, not a staged one. And to understand that the results of such summits can be compromises, and not unilateral concessions, like what Armenia went to.

Political scientist Artur Khachikyan suggests that in order to understand the meaning of the words "reciprocity" and "peace", consider the conditions of the Middle East peace agreement. It states that Israel frees 47% of the Gaza Strip, Hamas returns the surviving hostages and the bodies of the dead, Israel releases 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, the Gaza population is given the right of return, and until then the territory will be temporarily governed by an international committee until reforms for Palestinian autonomy are implemented.

And a number of other points that regulate the stabilization process of the region in detail. This document is the result of professional diplomacy. "Who are those negotiators?" Maybe we should ask the Palestinians or the Israelis to temporarily provide us with one," says the political scientist. It's hard to disagree. Khachikyan offers to compare the Palestinian peace declaration with the paper signed by Pashinyan in Washington. "How do Armenians feel now, in Baku prisons, abandoned and betrayed by their government?" Is there anyone trying to free them?

How do the 120,000 refugees from Artsakh feel? have they been given the right to return to their homeland, like the Palestinians? Did the USA declare that it guarantees peace for the Armenians, as it did for the Palestinians and Israelis? Will there be international peacekeeping forces on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as in Gaza? Whoever wants to understand the meaning of the word "reciprocity" should see how it is done. Not unilateral concessions and humiliations, but compromises. I to you, you to me," he sums up. Unfortunately, Pashinyan did not go to the Middle East Peace Summit to study the experience of professional diplomats. His goal was different: to get closer to Trump, so that the pro-government media in Armenia would make noise about their "special" relationship.

And he achieved his goal: he approached, took Trump's hand, squeezed it long and persistently. Before the end of the event, he "caught" him again, this time deciding to present himself. Mr. President, I am the Prime Minister of Armenia. Thank you, God bless you." Probably, at that moment, all the Armenians of the world, regardless of whether they voted for CP or not, fell to the ground in shame. As one commented, Pashinyan's behavior in Sharm El Sheikh was "an act of indescribable, crystalline, cosmic self-abasement."

At the same time, it is not understood why Pashinyan was shining so much, thanking Trump. perhaps from the joy of new photos.

Trump, if he mentioned the name of Armenia (which he does not remember), then only in a humiliating tone. He called the bloody conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan a "little war", and Pashinyan, "that other guy" and "Aliyev's compatriot". He praised Aliyev as a strong leader and added: "It's better not to have anything to do with him."

In fact, he praised the president of Azerbaijan for his victory over the Armenians, his authoritarianism and solving the Karabakh issue by force and ethnic cleansing. Actually, Pashinyan thanked him only for providing content for social networks. Fun detail by the way. At first, Pashinyan captioned the photos. "A short conversation with US President Donald Trump." But then, realizing that "Mr. President, I am the Prime Minister of Armenia" is not even a "short conversation", he edited his post.

But that urge to brag about a conversation that didn't happen, like a teenage girl with an imaginary romance with a star, says a lot about the Prime Minister of Armenia. He just doesn't look pathetic. It is really pitiful. We must realize that there is a person at the helm of our country who is ready to hand over the extraterritorial corridor of Syunik for a photo with Trump, who does not want to recognize him.
