Armenian chess legend Levon Aronian scored 5.5 points out of 10 at the US Chess Championship held in St. Louis and became the bronze medalist of the United States Men's Championship. Samuel Sevyan finished the competition in the sixth place with 5.0 points. In the women's championship, Tatev Abrahamyan performed relatively weakly in the second round, with 4.5 points and was satisfied with the eighth result among 12 participants.
