Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, did not like the symbolic BRICS banknote presented to President Putin at the BRICS summit in Kazan.

According to him, the banknote was printed by “one of our people,” possibly representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He clarified that the “quasi-money” was intended to demonstrate the common work being carried out within the framework of the summit.
