In the European Parliament (CE), they refused to pay tribute to the memory of the American politician Charlie Kirk in silence. This was reported by Politico newspaper.
It is noted that the relevant initiative was presented by Swedish MP Charlie Weimers, but the President of the Council of Europe Roberta Missola rejected it, referring to the regulations. Dissatisfied deputies began to scream and hit the tables in protest, in response to which Barley reminded the president's decision.
According to the British daily Mail, Weuders accused the European Parliament, reminding how the legislature remained silent in memory of the American George Floyd.
