Scientists are warning about unexpected bottled water hazards

Canadian researcher Sarah Sajedin, co-founder of ERA ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS AND CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, Journal of Hazardous Materials (JHM) published a hint of health risks for disposable plastic bottles.

Sajedi analyzed more than 140 scientific articles and found that the average man swallowed 39,000 to 52,000 micro particles a year, and those who regularly drink bottled water are received at an additional 90,000 particles. These micromathniks are formed during bottles during the production, storage and transportation. Under the influence of light and temperature, the low-quality plastic releases invisible small debris for the eye.

After appearing in the body, they can penetrate blood and reach vital organs, causing chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, reproductive problems, nervous system damage and even cancer. At the same time, long-term consequences are still bad due to the lack of unified methods of measurement and testing.

"It is possible to drink water from plastic bottles in emergencies, but it should not be a habit. The problem is not sharp poisoning, but chronic poisoning, "Sajedi said.

According to him, public education plays an important role in reducing risks, as most of the legislative measures have so far refers to bags and straws, but not bottles.
