More than 80,000 people were evacuated due to severe rains in Beijing

Beijing's more than 80,000 residents have moved to safer places due to heavy rains, China's central television reports.

"Until now, a total of 80,332 people have been resettled in Beijing," the statement said.

The TV channel mentions that the largest number of displaced people are Miun and Huairo, which are located in the northern country of the city, as well as the Fangsha region, located in the southwest of the capital.

Earlier, the TV channel reported that 30 people died in Beijing, including 28 people in Merik and two, among Ayants.

The Chinese National Development and Reform Committee has provided 200 million yuan (about $ 27.8 million) to support the recovery after the floods caused by Pekin after heavy rains.

Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinpin called on the authorities to work hard to prevent floods and eliminate the consequences of natural disasters.
