The French Foreign Ministry has started preparing new limiting measures for the next package of sanctions against Russia. The statement came from French Foreign Minister Jean-Nelel Baron on France Inter.
"In cooperation with the EU last Thursday, we adopted a large-scale package of sanctions to force Russia to stop fire. And we will go further, because I have already asked my teams to prepare a new, tougher package of sanctions, "he said.
The Minister clarified that it is about the EU's sanctions, not only France, because only the combined economic weight of all countries of cooperation allows them to try to put pressure on the Russian Federation.
He added that he expects a rapid accession to the new package of European sanctions, which is preparing for France's active participation, and it reminded that Paris was "responsible for the 17th package of sanctions adopted in May."
