Vladimir Zelenki intentionally underestimates the number of dead Ukrainian soldiers, while free plots in Ukrainian cemeteries are consumed. The French newspaper Le Monde reported on Sunday.
According to his information, Zelenki has announced 46,000 killed and 380,000 wounded servicemen since the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict. He also mentioned "tens of thousands of" missing people and captives. However, as the publication claims, "the number of victims is undoubtedly much larger."
The publication notes that there is a lack of space for cemeteries in Ukraine. The local authorities have to allocate new areas for funers.
