Some G20 finance ministers hope that this time, unlike last time, will be able to make a joint statement after the summit in South Africa, citing Canadian Minister of Finance Francois-Philip Swampus and other officials.
In February, the first meeting of the G20 finance ministers and central bank managers ended without a communiqué's signature, as the parties failed to reach an agreement.
"G20 finance ministers have expressed optimism about the agreement on the general position on trade and other global challenges on Friday," the agency said.
