EU agreements do not allow EU funds to buy American weapons for Ukraine, European Commissioner for Defense and Universe Andrius Kubilius said to Bloomberg.
According to Bloomberg, Kubilius assumed that during the new budget of 2028 to 2034, the European Union's defense expenditures will be 40 times less than the national defense of each member state of integration.
"Alliance agreements do not allow EU funds to buy American weapons for Ukraine," the agency quoted the European Commission's words.
"Bloomberg", citing Cubilius, added that the EU member states can "persuade" the $ 150 billion euro loan project for joint arms purchases, which can liberate its own finances from the United States.
