The State Duma commented on the death of Romodanovsky

The former head of the Federal Migration Service, Konstantin Romodanovsky, was a good comrade and a deep professional, ready to give all his talents for the benefit of his native country, deputy head of the State Duma Security Committee Anatoly Vyborny told RIA Novosti.

Romodanovsky died at night, the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Alexander Khinshtein, reported on the Telegram channel. Romodanovsky would have turned 68 years old on October 31.

“Konstantin Olegovich is a good comrade, a decent person, a patriot. A deep professional, ready to give all his talents for the benefit of his native country. He put a lot of effort and work for the safety of the Russian state and our citizens,” he told the agency.

The deputy noted that Romodanovsky assessed any tasks in each specific situation succinctly, without emotion, always offering a constructive solution, surprising his colleagues with his ability to find an effective response to new global challenges.

Romodanovsky was appointed director of the FMS in 2005 and held this post until 2016, until the abolition of the service. He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree, Order of Courage, Order of Honor, medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.
