2024 On October 16, a report was received regarding the murder of a 34-year-old resident of Nor Ughi settlement of Vedi community.
As a result of the investigation and administrative operations carried out within the framework of the criminal proceedings being investigated in the Vedi investigative department of the Ararat Marz Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, it was found that the 46-year-old resident of Nor Ughi settlement, Ararat Marz, in order to take revenge for the incident that happened on the same day regarding domestic issues, followed 34 -year-old fellow villager, to ambush him, then followed him into the yard of the house on Tumanyan street of the mentioned settlement.
Having found the fellow villager under the influence of alcohol, with the intention of illegally depriving his life, the 46-year-old man approached him and struck him about 10 times with a knife he had taken with him on various parts of the latter's body, including vital organs, causing physical injuries incompatible with life.
The victim's brother, having noticed the criminal actions of the 46-year-old man, ran up to him, after which the latter, with the intention of illegally killing the 34-year-old man's brother, attacked him and hit the latter's shoulder with a knife, causing bodily injury.
Continuing his criminal intent, the 46-year-old man tried to hit the victim's brother a second time, but the latter managed to push the man aside and run away, after which the 46-year-old man, shouting death threats, ran after him. Hearing the threats, people living in the neighborhood went out into the street, after which the 46-year-old man disappeared, not being able to complete the crime.
During the preliminary investigation, an examination of the scene of the incident was carried out, during which blood-like traces were found, a knife, which was a tool of the alleged crime, was found with blood-like traces on it. A number of persons were interrogated, forensic and forensic examinations of the body were appointed.
A 46-year-old man was arrested. A public criminal prosecution was initiated against him under Article 155, Part 1 and Article 44-155, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
The investigation is ongoing.
