President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Pope in the Vatican. Zelensky presented the pontiff with a picture of a child standing in the ruins of Bucha, asking him to help return Ukrainians from Russian captivity.

The meeting between Zelensky and the Pope lasted about 35 minutes.

After the meeting, Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel:

"We expect the Holy See's help in returning Ukrainians captured in Russian captivity home. This topic took center stage during the conversation."
