Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Armenia Alessandro Ferranny.
The RA Ministry of Health informs about this. Welcoming the Ambassador, the Minister noted that the Armenian-Italian relations in the field of healthcare are dynamically developing and good-neighborly.
Anahit Avanesyan praised 2023 Italy's support for the medical care of our citizens who received burns as a result of the Stepanakert explosion in September.
They touched upon close cooperation between a number of medical centers of the two countries and exchange of experience.
The Minister presented to the Ambassador the priorities of the healthcare reforms, referring to the current digitalization process of the sphere, comprehensive insurance reform.
In his speech, the Ambassador stressed the significant potential of cooperation in the field of medicine in the two countries, offering to organize meetings and implement programs at the academic level.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Avanesyan noted that the newly appointed Ambassador will play an important role in deepening bilateral cooperation.
