Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross handed over the remains of four Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip to the Israeli military. This was announced by the office of the Prime Minister of the Jewish State, Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Israel received coffins through the Red Cross,which contained the bodies of the four dead hostages. The coffins were handed over to the Israeli Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip, from where they will be transported to Israel," the statement said.
The Prime Minister's Office added,that "an official notification will be sent to the families" after the identification process of the remains is completed at the Abu Kabir National Forensic Center.
