A Turkish Pegasus Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Erzurum airport after a fight broke out between Ukrainian and Kazakh citizens, Turkish NTV television reported on Friday.
A fight broke out on board the plane flying from Antalya to Astana between a Ukrainian couple and two Kazakh citizens.
“The pilot was forced to land at Erzurum airport at 02:00 due to the fight,” the television channel reported.
Upon arrival in Erzurum, the arguing passengers complained to each other and were taken to the police station. The reason for the fight was not specified.
After refueling, the plane departed for Astana, where it landed safely a few hours later.
