The head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called on the United States to continue funding the organization until alternative solutions are found, Armenpress reports, citing RIA Novosti.
“We ask the United States to consider continuing funding at least until solutions are found,” the WHO chief said.
Ghebreyesus added that much of the WHO’s response to health emergencies in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gaza and elsewhere is financially supported by the United States.
