Russia is concerned about how the agreements between Israel and Hamas are being implemented, Moscow is trying to prevent the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We are concerned about how the agreements between Israel and Hamas are being implemented," Lavrov said at a press conference after talks with his Sudanese counterpart.
The minister stressed that the parties accuse each other of violating the agreements. In addition, the Israeli leadership, together with American representatives, is threatening to resume hostilities.
"Of course, that would be very sad, we are trying to prevent this in our contacts with Arab partners at the UN and representatives of other countries," Lavrov noted.
