The Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg adopted a resolution on supporting Armenia

The Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg unanimously adopted a resolution on supporting Armenia and establishing peace and stability in the region.

This is reported by the RA Embassy in Belgium.

It is noted that the petition condemns the forced migration of more than 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's unjustified military operation;

Referring to the 2023 decision of the International Court of Justice. to the order of November 17, calls to respect international law, and also calls for the immediate release of Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijan.

Emphasizing the 1991 Recognizing the territorial integrity of the countries of the region with the Alma-Ata Declaration, the resolution encourages border demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the regulation of diplomatic relations in the region.

The resolution welcomes Armenia's democratic progress, as well as Armenia's ratification of the Rome Statute.

The adopted resolution emphasizes the importance of deepening EU-Armenia relations through the new partnership agenda, as well as the important commitment of the European Union's civilian mission in Armenia and supports the increase of the EU's role in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict settlement process.

In addition, it also encourages the strengthening of economic, scientific and educational ties between Luxembourg, the EU and Armenia.
