The Apostolic Monastery and the village included in the list of 14 most dangerous heritage sites in Europe


The leading network of European Heritage "Europe Nostra" civil society and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have published the names of 14 European Monuments and Heritage Places, which were included in the "Seven Most -vishable" program. In the short list.

The list also includes the Apostles Monastery Complex and the settlement in Tavush region.

In the initiative and support of the RA Ministry of Education, Sciences, Culture and Sports, the Institute of Moscow's 14 Most Heritage Heritage Center, Doctor of Armenology, Doctor of Armenology, Doctor of the University of Salzburg.

The program envisages a complete study of the apostolic monastery and the village improvement and protection, as well as the development of sustainable Ecozourtism with the participation of local beneficiaries, including academic institutions and non-governmental organizations.

The program also includes educational initiatives and the improvement of tourism trails.

14 places of the endangered heritage, which are represented by 14 European countries, have been elected by the International Advisive Group. The group includes analysis of history, archeology, architecture, fortification, projects, as well as financial experts. The nominations of places have made or approved by members of "Europe Nostra", as well as the European Heritage bloc.

The choice was made taking into account the fact that each place, inheritance and presenting a cultural value, as well as the real danger of the current time.

The degree of commitment of state and private beneficiaries has also taken into account the involvement of local communities and save the relevant locations. Among the criteria, the potential to promote sustainable socio-economic development on the spot was highlighted.
