The "Kanaker-Zeytun" maternity hospital under Yerevan Municipality has been temporarily closed. Davit Karapetyan, head of the health department of the Yerevan Municipality, said this in a conversation with "Armenpress", noting that the decision to close the maternity hospital was made due to the appearance of financial problems. but there is a recommendation to reopen it.
Referring to the decision to close the maternity hospital, Karapetyan noted that the strategy plan of the RA Ministry of Health includes a review of the levels of maternity hospitals, which was decided at the government level.
Within those frameworks, the ministry found violations in the points defined by the strategy and suspended the activity of "Kanaker-Zeytun Maternity Hospital".
"Since 2020, the maternity hospital has been handed over to the trust manager.
