RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke live on Facebook about the reasons for the universal declaration. "There are several reasons for the general declaration. One of them is our consistency in the fight against corruption. We have introduced systems for the declaration of high-ranking government officials, but these systems are not enough to fulfill our vision of the fight against corruption and the declaration of government officials the system does not cover the previously known cases, when corrupt agents act through the mother-in-law, classmate, or friend. Schemes: Now, in fact, we introduce the officials' cousins, mothers-in-law, uncles, and cousins into the universal declaration system, and with this we solve the issue of completing the anti-corruption fight chain.
Second, if we demand transparency from officials, they should be transparent from the beginning as citizens, so that later they become officials. The universal declaration system will help us to make our social policies more targeted."
According to Pashinyan, those who do not hide taxes will pay less tax with the universal declaration, because they will also receive certain refunds for the expenses incurred for healthcare and education.
